"Bell Born" is an auditory delight; a tape using ancient Tibetan Bells and Burmese gongs as the sole instru-ments. There is a sense of mysterey invoked by the music of another era, be it past or future. Through the bell's subtle harmonies and reverberations we are told of ways of existing beyond out present human spiritual awareness. Due to the tape's fine digital mastering there exists a transcendant crispness here that represents the best of modern technology, and it is contradictorily appropriate that state-of-the-art recording techniques presents these ancient musical instruments of so well.
This is great music to listen to while meditating. There is a school of thought which says that the sense of hearing is the most effective of our five sense to promote spiritual growth and that the most effective catalyst to bring on enlightenment is music. This tape does not promose enlighenment but it does hint at out potential to realise it.
