Ambient music won't leave you humming melodies or dancing in the streets. Rather it is an exercise in moods and textures operating at the edge of conscious comprehension. By avoiding an audio invaision of the senses, ambient music acts as a seduction instead. RNA is the stuff of dreams- a heady, billowing mixtures of timbres and movement designed as a partner in flight. The occasional percussive beats act as a grounding mechanism but it never lasts for long, as on the composition Surge. Groom Lake is a nod to the super secret military installation in Nevada reputed to the be the home of various UFOs.
